Sunday January 24 @ 9.30am

Back to School Blessing Service

On Sunday 24 January at 9.30am, we are inviting all students, teachers and support staff to join us for a special blessing before school students begin the school year.

  • You might like to bring along a school bag, back pack or other useful school item.
  • If kids want to wear their brand new school uniform, they are welcome to but don’t have to.
  • Teachers and support staff need prayers too, so we welcome them to come along and receive a blessing too.
  • The service is planned to be about 45-50minutes long and will include the telling of stories, and fun songs, readings from the Bible and Holy Communion. AND we’ll have morning tea to share at the end!
  • Our worship for that morning is planned to be ‘intergenerational’ which means that all ages will worship together – and hopefully share some stories and learn from one another.
  • All those who receive a blessing will be giving a special tag to keep in their backpack, school bag or briefcase (or somewhere where they will see it from time to time) for the year ahead reminding them that we love and care for them.
  • Everyone is welcome... you don’t have to be student or a teacher to come!
  • Of course like the rest of life, its COVID regulation dependent!
