Prayer and Spiritual Growth
We grow faith by a multitude of means. Below are some of the ways we work with growing faith.
Spiritual Spa Days
A time to reflect, rejuvenate and re-invigorate spiritual life through a choice of creative themed meditation stations that provide material for quiet reflection. Spiritual Spa Days are held quarterly on Saturday afternoons in the church precinct and last 2.5 hours. Light refreshments are included. St Chad’s welcomes participants to call in for an hour or two or full time.
Spiritual Support
Rev'd Jo Armour and Rev'd Jeff Oake are experienced in spiritual guidance and works with adults and children. Appointments can be made for a chat and cuppa in the privacy and comfort of the Parish Centre, or other convenient space.
Pastoral visits
By appointment only. Contact Rev'd Jo or Rev'd Jeff to arrange a time for a personal visit for yourself, or someone else, at your home, or in hospital or nursing home.
Prayer Ring
A small group of parishioners pray daily for named persons who are suffering ill health, or any other trouble. Prayer requests are confidential to Prayer Ring members only and are not openly discussed. If you would like prayer for yourself or others full names and details are not essential, but first names are required.
Home Communion
For those who are sick, indisposed, or in emergency situations a brief celebration of Communion for spiritual renewal can be arranged at home, in hospital or in a nursing home.
Bible Study
Bible study is an exercise in ‘putting God in the picture’ concerning world, or personal events. At St Chad’s Group Bible study or themed theological studies based on a variety of subject matter, using printed, electronic, or other media publications are held throughout the year or as requested.
